Individual Therapy

Not so long ago, it was common for a person to feel ashamed for seeing a therapist. They believed it meant they were weak or not normal like everyone else.

Humanity has thankfully grown over the last few decades to the point where it is no longer a stigma and even embraced in many places around the world to be involved in your own personal therapy.

There is no shame in asking for help.

I’d wager most people don’t like having problems they feel they cannot fix on their own. Having to ask for help can be humbling, but it doesn’t mean you’ve failed!

The type of therapy I offer creates a space for individuals to see themselves in a new light and begin working to change the narrative from “abnormal” to healthy.

Normal really is a yuppie word.

Normal implies that there is a certain status we have to reach to be approved and accepted by others. So, I’d like to just go ahead and kick that idea to the curb. Instead, I invite you to embrace the uniqueness you were created to have.

Now I’m not saying there aren’t modifications we all need to make to grow and change and gain new depths to our uniqueness. That’s what therapy helps to unlock – kind of like a sculpture, we gradually over time reveal the truest and most real part of who we are. Not pretend to be okay and ‘fake it ‘til we make it’… or crash and burn trying.

Whether it’s through Christian counseling, nature-based therapy, EMDR or even equine assisted therapy, let’s unlock the creativity you need to find your True North!

“The only normal people are the ones you don’t know very well.”
