Online Therapy
Stay grounded through even the busiest seasons of life.
Despite our best efforts to stay committed to healthy habits and good decisions, the world has other plans.
Online therapy is one of the largest growing fields in mental health because of the unique demands placed on us all in our “crazy-busy” society and the continued need to bridge the gap between stressed and out of time to investment in our self-care.
I offer online therapy for all my clients who don’t want illness, inclement weather, or even an out-of-town trip to disrupt their course of treatment. This allows us flexibility that your otherwise busy schedule may not allow.
Skip the trip to the office or the late weeknights and meet from the comfort of your own home, work space, or favorite cozy outdoor spot!
Some Considerations
I am licensed in the state of Pennsylvania which means that I can only conduct therapy sessions within the state I am practicing in for residents of this state.
Also, while I’ve made getting online to meet with me a cinch, you will still need to have good Internet connection and choose a location that is suitable for a therapy session. If meeting out of your home, a quiet room away from any distractions is ideal. If meeting outdoors, anywhere that is secluded and yet has Internet access is a great choice!
Online therapy is always done using a secure server and is HIPPA compliant, assuring you that our session remains confidential while meeting on the Internet. We use simple software that allows you to login for our sessions, and you don’t need to be a computer whiz to do so!
Once we get going, recognize that some things can get lost in translation, like body language, tone, eye contact, etc. It’s important for me to be able to check in regularly about aspects of the session which could go unnoticed when not physically present in my office.
Having the adaptability to meet online anytime or anywhere and stay consistent with therapy without life’s pesky surprises getting in the way is quite convenient. This will allow you to stay motivated and connected to the investment you have placed into the therapy process.
"Blessed are the flexible, for they will not be bent out of shape.”
