Meet Nicoletta

Certified and specializing in the Safe & Sound Protocol

female therapist greensburg

When exploring different career paths at the age of 16, I felt limited because the truth was that I was not great at many things besides connecting with others, and I had a way with words. (Yes, I was the kid who was moved all the time in class for being chatty). So the only elective that I felt was applicable to take was AP psychology (my first and last AP class - yeah, it was that narrow with the choices for me).

As I learned about human behavior, I was completely enveloped by it, constantly wanting to know more. I knew I needed to work with people.

People were a shared interest between my father and I. He suddenly died when I was 15, and I was passionate about carrying on his legacy of caring about people’s souls. No one loved people better than my dad!

I went into college with the hopes of becoming a grief counselor, but as I learned more about different populations of people, I was hooked on therapy for ALL people, not only grief. I have never once wished I had picked a different career - therapy is so special to me, because people choosing to heal is what I want to be a part of lifelong.

I attended college in Lakeland, FL at Southeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a dual master’s degree in Professional Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy. I continued on to work in private practice for three years which included experience in partnering with schools, churches, and group homes.

I have experience working with grief/loss, complex trauma, relational issues, other life transitions/adjustments, children, and adults.

I am certified in the Safe and Sound Protocol, a supporting therapy that assesses a physiological state conducive to well-being, positive engagement with others, and growth in learning and therapy that enhances and assists (or even accelerates) existing treatment plans.

A very long story short, the Lord has since called my husband and I back to Pennsylvania, and with some drama between Florida and Pennsylvania, I am in the process of pressing on to pursue licensure in the state of Pennsylvania to continue my work.

But the main point to you, the reader, is that I am here to stand with you in the gap between living in the life you are currently living and the Kingdom capacity in which you were called to and would like to be in.

It would be an honor to share space with you.

Take care!
